Wilco Nienaber secured his second career win with victory in the NTT Dimension Data Pro-Am in February 2025. A look at Wilco Nienaber: What’s In The Bag.
Nienaber’s only previous win as a professional on tour came in the same event in 2021, and he doubled up with a wire-to-wire victory in the 2025 edition Fancourt Links in South Africa.
Nienaber finished on 27-under in the Challenge Tour and Sunshine Tour co-sanctioned event, seven shots clear of fellow South African Jean-Paul Strydom.
Nienaber needed a play-off to win the title in 2021 as he defeated Henric Sturehed after the pair had finished on 19-under par.
He has turned professional in 2019 following an amateur career that saw him win the Northern Cape Amateur Open and Central Gauteng Open Stroke Play in 2017 and Free State Open and Western Province Amateur Strokeplay in 2018.
Nienaber also won the Gauteng North Open and South African Amateur Championship in 2019 prior to turning professional.
