Bettinardi Antidote Putters (4 ZERO Torque Models Reviewed)

Bettinardi Antidote Putters Series Review

The Bettinardi Antidote series putters feature the SB1 blade and SB2, SB3 and SB5 mallets as the brand’s new zero-torque designs to offer next level performance.

The Antidote series represents Bettinardi’s entry into the rapidly growing zero torque putter market for the 2025 season.

Developed over two years, the putters feature Bettinardi’s Simply Balanced technology that ensures the face remains square throughout the stroke for maximum control and consistency on the greens.โ€‹

The Antidote SB1 offers a traditional blade design, while the SB2 provides a mallet-style head with both incorporating advanced materials for a high level of performance.โ€‹

Bettinardi added a new option with the SB2 Long launched as their first long handled or broomstick putter shaft before also introducing the compact SB3 mallet and the high-MOI SB5 mallet.

Bettinardi Antidote SB1 Putter Design & Specs

The SB1 putter has a classic wide-bodied blade design with curved bumpers and a thick topline and a precision-milled body made from 303 Stainless Steel for premium feedback and control.

The key design element in the SB1 is Simply Balanced Technology (where the name comes from), which is a zero-torque innovation that aligns the shaft axis with the center of gravity.

The technology promotes a naturally square face during the stroke and is Bettinardi’s answer to the zero torque design introduced by the likes of L.A.B. and Odyssey.

The putter also features Feel Impact Technology (F.I.T.) with 55% of the face material removed for a softer feel without diminishing feedback.

The face is finished with Bettinardiโ€™s signature Diamond Blast texture to reduce glare and deliver clean sightlines while stood over putts on the green.

The SB1 putter has a negative shaft offset (-1 degree) that promotes a natural forward press to keep the stroke square and connected.

The design incorporates a strategically placed 6061 aluminum pocket insert in the cavity, finished in Sapphire Blue for contrast and modern appeal.

Bettinardi Antidote SB2 Putter Design & Specs

The SB2 putter has a mallet shape with a clean profile and a high-MOI design for maximum forgiveness.

Unlike the SB1, the SB2 reverses material roles with a 6061 aluminum body paired with a 303 stainless steel face insert.

Bettinardi’s F.I.T. face milling technology removes 55% of the face material for a softer feel from the SB2 at impact without sacrificing responsiveness.

The finish scheme of the putter is also inverted with a Sapphire Blue anodized body and a Diamond Blast face.

The SB2 also uses Simply Balanced Technology for face stability and enhanced stroke consistency with the centered CG minimize torque during the swing.

The heavier head means it is best suited for players who prefer a straight-back, straight-through stroke or who struggle with face rotation during their stroke.

The SB2 putter has a negative shaft offset (-1 degree) that promotes a natural forward press to keep the stroke square and connected.

An additional version of the putter has been added to the portfolio with the launch of the SB2 Long featuring a broomstick type shaft.

Bettinardi Antidote SB3 Putter Design & Specs

The Antidote SB3 is a high MOI fang-style mallet designed for stability and alignment through impact with zero-torque technology.

The SB3 is constructed with a hybrid 303 stainless steel face and lightweight carbon fiber body for maximum perimeter weighting and stability.

This version weighs 360 grams features a compact look at address, with a visually striking two-tone design on the fangs that aids in precise aim.

Bettinardi SB3 Putter

Unlike typical fang putters that may be bulky, the SB3 incorporates a thin top line by setting the hosel back in a distinct section.

The sole plate has cutouts in the 303 stainless steel aluminum backplate to move the center of gravity as far forward as possible while maintaining low torque and Bettinardiโ€™s signature sound and feel.

The SB3 has Simply Balanced Technology to maintain a square face throughout the stroke, catering to both arc and straight-back strokes.

F.I.T. face milling has meant 55% face material has been remove for a solid yet soft sound at impact, making it ideal for players wanting high-end zero torque performance with a traditional feel.

Like the other models, the SB3 has a negative shaft offset (-1 degree) for a natural forward press and seamless hand alignment.

Bettinardi Antidote SB5 Putter Design & Specs

The SB5 model is a premium high MOI half-moon mallet that is focused on providing ultimate stability and alignment precision.

This model has a full-size mallet head with a satin silver finish and navy alignment aids that visually frame the flange to help golfers set up perfectly square every time.

The SB5 has a 303 stainless steel face insert with cutouts on the back to bring the center of gravity closer to the face for blade-like playability while preserving low torque characteristics.

The putter head also features a 6061 aircraft-grade aluminum chassis and tungsten sole weights for precise weight distribution and ultra-low torque.

Like all Antidote putters, Simply Balanced Technology has been used to optimize face balance for maximum consistency and the F.I.T. face with deeper milling pattern enhanced feel on the greens.

The design of the SB5 puts a strong focus on alignment with clear sightlines and bumpers, and it suits players with a straight-back, straight-through stroke seeking maximum forgiveness.

The Dual SightLine system with contrasting color inlays to optimize alignment and focus at address and a -1 degree shaft offset gives a consistent forward press and effortless square setup.

Bettinardi Antidote Putters Review: Are they any good?

The Antidote Series is built around innovation, balance and elite craftsmanship and they deliver that with a tour-level performance on the greens.

The two initial putters – the SB1 and SB2 – deliver a specific feel and performance profile as well as a square stroke with excellent distance control and a pleasingly soft feel at impact.

The SB1 blade caters for players who prefer a more traditional look and compact head, which suited golfers with an arc-style putting stroke during our testing.

The SB2 mallet is more about enhanced forgiveness and alignment stability with the combination of a heavier aluminum body with a steel face insert helps distribute weight outward to boost MOI without sacrificing feel.

The more recently added SB3 and SB5 have broadened the appeal with additional putter head shapes offering preferred options for a wider range of golfers.
