Callaway Epic Flash Hybrids Review

Callaway Epic Flash hybrids have been added to the popular range with the manufacturer looking to provide a high class performer across the spectrum of clubs.

There is little doubting the success of the Epic Flash driver and Callaway subsequently added the Jailbreak Technology into the Epic Flash fairway woods. The Epic Flash irons followed and now the last piece of the jigsaw is the hybrids.

The hybrids also feature the Jailbreak Technology to provide maximum forgiveness and distance, and are available to purchase in 3-hybrid (18 degrees), 4-hybrid (21 degrees), 5-hybrid (24 degrees) and 6-hybrid (27 degrees).

What Callaway say about the Epic Flash Hybrids:

“The new Epic Flash Hybrid represents the very best of Callaway’s industry-leading technologies in this category to deliver performance and increased ball speeds in a premium materials package.

“Our revolutionary Jailbreak Technology incorporates two internal bars that stiffen the body, placing more impact load on the face to promote fast ball speed and long distance.”

Callaway Epic Flash Hybrids Design

Callaway have opted to replace the Rogue and make the Epic Flash the number one hybrid, doing so by extracting improved feel, added distance and more forgiveness in this attractive looking specimen.

In the now familiar green and black colour scheme associated with the Epic Flash range, the hybrids feature Jailbreak Technology, which is the clever internal bar design behind the face which helps stiffen the club head. It helps produce increased ball speed and added distance.

Callaway have also worked at getting the weight of the club down and getting the launch angles improved, achieving that courtesy of an ultra-thin, forged face which includes the Face Cup technology and by lowering the CG by moving the MMI’ed (Metal-Injection Molding) tungsten weight deeper to the sole.

There is also an MIM’ed external weight added to help produce the perfect swing, and a lighter triaxial carbon fabric rather than a steel construction for the crown to save weight.

With an adjustable hosel, the Epic Flash hybrids can be created to suit your needs of what is in your bag.

Epic Flash Hybrids Verdict

The Epic Flash has been a huge success and the new hybrids will only add further to that.

There was very little wrong with the Rogue hybrids that were the predecessor, but Callaway have gone the extra mile and some in producing the Epic Flash and making them the number one in their range.

Golfers of all abilities will love just what the hybrids can add to their game, from lower handicappers looking to extract added distance to mid-to-high handicappers seeking more reliability in their longer game.

If you are thinking about new hybrids or trying out rescues for the first time then these are very much worth testing out.
