Part of the Epic Flash series that also includes the driver and hybrids, the Epic Flash woods are the upgraded version of the previously released Epic woods and are Callaway’s best fairways yet.

We take a look at the standard and Sub Zero models and detail the benefits of each along with what performance gains you can expect.

What Callaway say about the Epic Flash woods:

“Epic Flash Fairway Woods feature groundbreaking new Flash Face Technology to help golfers of every level and swing speed get more ball speed and distance.

“Callaway engineers applied learnings from Artificial Intelligence to create a new fairway wood face design that promotes increased ball speed for longer distance.

“Forged 455 Carpenter steel construction combines with Face Cup technology to deliver fast ball speed across the face for distance on center- and off-center hits.

Callaway Epic Flash Woods Specs & Design

The Epic Flash woods are the most advanced yet from Callaway, and a major upgrade from the previous model the GBB Epic fairways.

The GBB Epic woods did not feature Jailbreak Technology when released in 2017, with Callaway opting to only launch the two vertical metal bars design behind the face in the Epic driver.

But it does appear in the Epic Flash woods, which gets its new name due to the presence of the ground-breaking Flash Face Technology too.

The woods have an even thinner steel face that also features Callaway’s Face Cup technology and the hosel has been switched for a new, lighter version for optimal setup of the lie and launch angle.

The Callaway Epic Flash Sub Zero woods model has been designed to produce less spin than the Epic Flash woods. They also feature interchangeable weights, which can create a balance to suit any golfers.
