Callaway Supersoft balls are the softest in the Callaway range, but how do they stack up against the opposition?
While the Chrome Soft remains the best Callaway golf ball on the market, the Supersoft offers an alternative for golfers seeking an even softer ball – and the latest version has been upgraded in performance levels.
Ideally suited to golfers with lower swing speeds and those unable to get enough compression into the ball, the Supersoft is a cost-effective option to have in the bag.
What Callaway say about the Supersoft Balls:
“The new Callaway Supersoft golf balls are a long, straight distance ball that’s incredibly soft, with an ultra-low compression core for fast ball speeds, and super low spin and low drag.
“Advanced core promotes low spin for longer, straighter flight on full shots.
“New HEX Aerodynamics are optimized for a lower spin rate to reduce drag and enhance lift for increased carry, higher flight and longer distance.
“New softer Trionomer cover formulation with a low compression for better feel and greater shot-stopping spin.”
Callaway Supersoft Balls Design
The Supersoft was first launched in 2017, but the latest version has more performance extracted from it with Callaway branding it: Super Long. Super Straight. Super Soft.
The Supersoft, as the name suggests, is the softest ball that Callaway produce and the tweaks in design should only make it better.
With the Supersoft, you get a forgiving ball that provides long distance, all the time while being incredibly soft with a great feel around the greens.
The low compression construction now has a new low-spin HEX aerodynamics pattern to help keep shots straighter, while the softer Trionomer cover has been honed to maximise spin on approach shots.
Supersoft balls are available in white, yellow, lime green, orange and now red options.
Callaway Supersoft Balls Verdict
Callaway’s softest golf ball, the Supersoft performs with an impressive mixture of distance and feel and is the recommended choice for golfers with a slower swing speed.
The Supersoft provides longer carry, longer distance and improved control around the greens making it an ideal all-round golf ball.
It compares very well with soft balls in a similar mid-market price bracket, and you can expect consistent performance from the Supersofts.
