Cobra 3DP MB Compact Blade Irons Are 3D-Printed (Reviewed)

Cobra 3DP MB Irons Review

The Cobra 3DP MB irons are part of an expanded range with the latest 3D-printed muscle back design launched at the start of 2026.

Released along with the 3DP X irons, joining the previously launched 3DP Tour model, the MB design is a compact blade aimed at better players and low-handicap golfers.

The new MB irons are fully 3D printed from 316 stainless steel with internal lattice structures and heavy tungsten weighting for added stability and forgiveness.

The 3D-printed irons build on the King MB design but has a noticeably thinner topline and a more offset for a clean, blade-like appearance at address.

Pros & Cons

✅ Blade-like address look with a very compact with traditional MB shape that will appeal to better players and purists
✅ Much higher forgiveness than a typical muscleback thanks to the internal lattice and tungsten, retaining ball speed and distance better on slight mishits
✅ Soft, “forged-like” feel and tuned acoustics, despite being stainless and 3D‑printed, reported as very solid and responsive at impact
✅ Consistent launch and distance control across the face, targeting single‑digit handicaps and elite ball-strikers who still want some built‑in help
❌ Very high price point, around $1,980 for a six‑club set with stock steel shafts, putting them at the extreme premium end of the iron market
❌ Still a true blade profile: compact head, thin topline and minimal offset make them demanding compared with players‑distance or cavity‑back designs
❌ Stainless 3D‑printed construction is unconventional, so some golfers may be skeptical versus classic forged carbon steel in terms of feel and long‑term perception

Cobra 3DP MB Irons Specs & Design

Cobra 3DP MB irons are compact, tour-inspired musclebacks built for accomplished ball-strikers who still want modern forgiveness and stability hidden inside a traditional blade profile.

They are designed with direct tour input from players like Max Homa and Gary Woodland and take visual cues from the popular King MB but refine the proportions for a sleeker look.

The 3DP MB uses a one-piece 3D-printed 316 stainless body with an internal lattice core that lets Cobra maintain a classic muscleback exterior while shifting mass to heel and toe via integrated tungsten.

The MB has a slightly thinner topline and a touch more offset than the standard King MB, producing a clean, blade-like appearance at address that better players prefer but with subtly more playability.

The lattice core is tuned to control acoustics, giving a soft, forged-like impact feel despite the stainless construction, and also stiffens the structure to keep the head feeling solid on centre and off-centre strikes.

Additional tungsten mass in the heel and toe raises MOI in what is still a very compact blade chassis, making the 3DP MB one of the most forgiving true muscleback-style irons currently on the market.

The 3DP MB irons are available in 4-iron (24 degrees) to Gap Wedge (50 degrees).

Cobra 3DP MB Review: Are they are good?

The MB is aimed at low-handicap golfers and stronger ball-strikers but, thanks to the internal 3D-lattice weighting, is playable up to around a 10 handicap and therefore far more accessible than traditional blades.

The compact head, narrow sole and thin topline of the MB deliver precise turf interaction, traditional launch characteristics and the kind of workability blades are known for.

But Cobra have managed to add extra stability to this version compared to conventional musclebacks for one of the most impressive newcomers for 2026.
