Akshay Bhatia landed the third PGA Tour victory when winning the Arnold Palmer Invitational in March 2026. A look at Akshay Bhatia: What’s In The Bag.
Bhatia produced a stunning comeback at Bay Hill as he won the 2026 Arnold Palmer Invitational in the first hole of a play-off with Daniel Berger.
The left-hander trailed his fellow American by five shots with nine holes to play, but surged home to earn a place in the play-off and claim the biggest win of his career.
Bhatia turned professional at the age of 17 and was playing on a special temporary membership in 2023 before guaranteeing his PGA Tour card when winning a play-off to lift the title at the Barracuda Championship in July 2023.
In April 2024, Bhatia took the title at the Valero Texas Open following a play-off over Denny McCarthy despite nursing a shoulder injury.
His only other previous win as a professional came on the Korn Ferry Tour in the 2022 The Bahamas Great Exuma Classic.
