Cobra DS-ADAPT Drivers (4 NEW Models for 2025 Reviewed)

Cobra DS-ADAPT Drivers Review

Cobra DS-ADAPT drivers are new for 2025 with four models in the range as the successors to the Darkspeed series. What we know about the LS, X, Max-K and Max-D.

The three Darkspeed drivers were only released in early 2024, but they have been replaced as the premier model from Cobra with the DS-Adapt a new 2025 addition.

The X, LS, Max-K and Max-D make up the DS-Adapt range, which as the name suggests are an upgraded and adapted version of the successful Darkspeeds thanks to ultimate adaptability.

Launched along with new fairway woods, hybrids and irons in the DS-Adapt range, the new drivers feature the ground-breaking FutureFit33 hosel for 33 separate loft and lie settings that make them the most adaptable yet.

Cobra are also releasing a first ever mini driver with the launch of the Cobra King Mini Driver.

Cobra DS-ADAPT LS Driver Specs & Design

The Cobra DS-ADAPT LS driver is designed for golfers with faster swing speeds and helps reduce spin and enhances shot-shaping versatility.

It has a compact 445cc head profile that features a raised rear section, a higher crown peak and innovative heel aerodynamic shaping to maximise clubhead speed.

The technology in the DS-ADAPT LS is the new FUTUREFIT33 adjustable hosel system, which offers an impressive 33 unique loft and lie settings and adjustability never seen before in a Cobra driver.

The new hosel design allows golfers to customize their driver to suit their individual swing characteristics in more ways than ever before.

The driver also features the hot familiar PWR-BRIDGE and H.O.T. Face Technology, which work together to increase face flex and maximize distance.

There are also three adjustable weight ports that enable fine-tuning of shot shape, while the low and forward PWR BRIDGE weight promotes low spin and fast speeds.

The DS-ADAPT LS is available in 9 degrees and 10.5 degrees and is adjustable up or down 2 degrees.

Cobra DS-ADAPT X Driver Specs & Design

The DS-ADAPT X driver is designed to cater to a wide range of golfers and offers a blend of performance features that include balance speed, forgiveness and adjustability.

The X model features a traditional 460cc head profile, providing a classic look at address and a larger overall shape than the LS driver.

The crown incorporates Progressive Aero shaping with a streamlined perimeter face area, higher crown peak and a lowered heel area to reduce drag and increase club head speed.

Cobra DS-ADAPT X Driver

The revolutionary new FUTUREFIT33 adjustable hosel system offers 33 unique loft and lie settings that can be adjusted independently.

This model also features PWR-BRIDGE weighting to tailor the center of gravity and spin based on loft, H.O.T. Face Technology for fast ball speeds and Smartpad Technology to keeps the clubface square at address.

The X driver has two interchangeable external weights for setup alterations and is available in 9 degrees and 10.5 degrees loft with 2 degrees of adjustability up and down.

Cobra DS-ADAPT Max-K Driver Specs & Design

The DS-ADAPT Max-K is Cobra’s first driver to break through 10K MOI and is designed to offer maximum forgiveness, joining the likes of the Ping G430 10K and TaylorMade Qi10 Max in breaking through the barrier

The Max-K has a slightly oversized 460cc head profile with a generous sweet spot and a confidence-inspiring look at address.

To achieve the 10,000 MOI, Cobra’s design team have used an external fixed back weight and an internal back weight pad to position the center of gravity as low and far back as possible in the Max-K.

Cobra DS-ADAPT Max-K Driver

The Max-K features a lightweight carbon crown and sole with a titanium frame for enhanced weight distribution with Progressive Aero shaping of the clubhead helping to reduce drag and increase club head speed.

Forgiveness and consistency are aided by the H.O.T. Face Technology for fast ball speeds even on off-center strikes and SMARTPAD Technology for a square clubface.

There are 33 unique loft and lie settings that can be adjusted independently thanks to the new FUTUREFIT33 adjustable hosel system.

The Max-K driver is available in lofts of 9 degrees, 10.5 degrees and 12 degrees with two degrees of adjustability up and down.

Cobra DS-ADAPT Max-D Driver Specs & Design

The DS-ADAPT Max-D driver is a new offering for 2025 and is a draw-bias model that is designed to help golfers correct their slice while maintaining distance and forgiveness.

The Max-D has the same 460cc oversized profile as the Max-K for increased confidence at address, but this version comes with a heel-biased design that promotes a draw flight path.

With its focus on slice correction and forgiveness, it is particularly well-suited for players struggling with a left-to-right ball flight who want to improve their accuracy off the tee.

Cobra DS-ADAPT Max-D Driver

The fixed heel weight provides enhanced swing control and stability, while rear weighting and a low center of gravity gives the driver high MOI for improved forgiveness on off-center hits.

Also present is the H.O.T. face technology for optimized ball speed across the face, which has a shallow face design optimized for higher launch and reduced sidespin.

As with the other drivers in the series, the new FUTUREFIT33 adjustable hosel system offers 33 different loft and lie options for the ultimate setup adjustability.

The Max-D driver is available in lofts of 9 degrees and 10.5 degrees with two degrees of adjustability up and down.

Cobra DS-ADAPT Drivers Review: Are they any good?

Cobra have taken adaptability to the next level in the DS-ADAPT range and it is no surprise that they have been given the name.

The Darkspeed model hasn’t been ripped up, it is simply been adapted and improved and the new DS-ADAPT features up to 33 separate loft and lie setting for the ultimate in setup.

The drivers feature a new dual cog adapter that helps create those loft and lie setting that we have never seen before.

While the LS and X models are the same as the Darkspeed range, Cobra have opted to split the Max driver into two and launch the K and D versions. The K is Cobra’s first to push 10K MOI for max forgiveness and the D is a draw-bias version.

There’s no standing still when it comes to golf club development and Cobra have proven that with the improvements to this series.
