Cobra DS-ADAPT Woods (3 NEW Fairways For 2025 Reviewed)

Cobra DS-ADAPT Fairway Woods Review

Cobra DS-Adapt woods are newly launched for 2025 with three models – the X, Max and LS – breaking new ground with FUTUREFIT33 Technology.

Part of a complete new range from Cobra along with DS-Adapt drivers, hybrids and irons, the fairways replace the Darkspeed model as the leading range with the X, Max and LS the three options.

Just like the new drivers, the woods are the most adjustable yet following the launch of Cobra’s revolutionary FUTUREFIT33 Technology with 33 unique loft and lie combinations.

Cobra have managed to improve on the already impressive Darkspeed series and the trio of models provide even ball speeds and forgiveness as well as adaptability like never before.

Cobra DS-ADAPT X Woods Specs & Design

The Cobra DS-ADAPT X fairways are the standard model of the three version and is suited to a wide range of golfers looking for a blend of distance and forgiveness.

The big new addition is the FUTUREFIT33 technology, an innovative adjustable hosel system provides 33 unique loft and lie combinations.

The ground-breaking feature, which is available across all three models, allows golfers to fine-tune ball flight and lie angle for optimal performance from fairway woods.

Cobra DS-ADAPT X Woods

The DS-ADAPT X features an updated PWR-BRIDGE system which ensures precise center-of-gravity placement for improved launch and improved distance control.

In the X, the PWR-BRIDGE weighting is positioned mid-to-forward for reduced spin and long and eye-catching distances, while a rear sole weight adds to the MOI for a high launch and makes the woods forgiving.

Cobra have made the H.O.T. Face larger and with more flex to deliver explosive distance and improved forgiveness on mishits, with the face variable thickness face insert maximizing ball speed across the entire face.

The new lightweight carbon fiber crown has also allowed for the redistribution of weight to enhance stability and balance during the swing.

The DS-ADAPT X woods are available in 3-wood (15 degrees), 3 HF-wood (16.5 degrees), 5-wood (18 degrees) and 7-wood (21 degrees). An adjustable hosel allows for 2 degrees up or down.

Cobra DS-ADAPT Max Woods Specs & Design

The DS-ADAPT Max model is a draw-biased option for golfers looking to cure the dreaded left-to-right slice or fade.

The most forgiving of the range, the Max features a moveable weight system for customization of setup to help deliver the right among of draw bias.

The MAX model also boasts an internal weight pad positioned in the back and heel area of the clubhead to help add to the draw characteristics and deliver the highest launch angle in the series.

Cobra DS-ADAPT Max Woods

This model has a shallow face design compared to the other tow versions for an easy launch as well as upgraded variable thickness H.O.T. Face, which is larger and has more flex than in the Darkspeeds.

The key new feature is the FUTUREFIT33 technology, an innovative adjustable hosel system provides 33 unique loft and lie combinations.

The Max woods are available in 3-wood (15.5 degrees), 5-wood (18.5 degrees), 7-wood (21.5 degrees) and new 9-wood (24.5 degrees). An adjustable hosel allows for 2 degrees up or down.

Cobra DS-ADAPT LS Woods Specs & Design

The Darkspeed LS woods are the tour-level model, featuring a more compact clubhead that provides workability and forgiveness.

The LS is a titanium version that suits better players with faster swing speeds, offering lower launch and spin for maximum distance control

The driver is a multi-material construction that has lightweight 8-1-1 Titanium body and face and a carbon crown for ultimate performance.

Cobra DS-ADAPT LS Woods

The LS fairways boasts 34g of internal tungsten in the in the heel and toe and two 13g external weights for a more stable package than previous models.

Forgiveness is aided by the adjustable heel and toe weights and back weight with an increase in MOI compared to the Darkspeed woods.

Also contributing to the most adjustable model yet is the FUTUREFIT33 technology, which provides 33 unique loft and lie combinations.

Speed and spin is optimized further by the improved A.I.-designed H.O.T. Face, with the variable thickness pattern provide more consistent ball striking from across the face.

The LS woods are available in 3-wood (14.5 degrees), 3-HF wood (16 degrees) and 5-wood (17 degrees). An adjustable hosel allows for 2 degrees up or down.

Cobra DS-ADAPT Woods Review: Are they any good?

There was plenty to like about the Darkspeed woods, but things have been taken up a notice with the addition of the FUTUREFIT33.

Now all three models in the series are more adjustable than ever before with up to 33 different options for loft and lie in the X, MAX and LS.

The weighting tweaks that have been made in all three versions compared to the Darkspeed models have also seen the DS-ADAPT add distance to the fairways.

Foregiveness has also been enhanced with changes to the H.O.T. face, making the DS-ADAPTs more accurate than before.
