Cobra Darkspeed X Woods Specs & Design

The Cobra Darkspeed X fairways are the standard model of the trio of options and is suited to players looking to maximize distance while enjoying a higher launch.

Key to the design is the innovative use of the PWRSHELL insert and suspended PWR-BRIDGE, which have both been enhanced in this latest Cobra fairway.

There is more flexibility from the face and the sole in the Darkspeed X with a better launch angle, more speed through the air and off the face speed and more distance as a result.

The A.I.-designed H.O.T. Face also optimizes speed as well as spin. A variable thickness pattern has been tweaked in this latest model, making them both powerful and more precise.

Forgiveness is built into Darkspeed X thanks to the inclusion of a back weight, which shifts the CG deep and promotes higher launches and maximum distance with every shot.

This focus on forgiveness does not come at the expense of control, as the lightweight carbon crown improves the club’s weight distribution for tighter dispersion and more consistent play.

The all-round package means they offer the perfect blend of speed, forgiveness and control, a towering ball flight and a serious amount of distance.

The Darkspeed X woods are available in 3-wood (15 degrees), 3 HF-wood (16.5 degrees), 5-wood (18 degrees) and 7-wood (21 degrees). An adjustable hosel allows for 1.5 degrees up or down.
