Cobra OPTM Woods (NEW Fairways For 2026 Reviewed)

Cobra OPTM Woods Review

Cobra OPTM woods are newly launched for 2026 with the latest fairways design replacing the DS-ADAPT models as the premier option from the brand.

Part of a complete new range from Cobra along with OPTM drivers, hybrids and likely to be irons, the fairways replace the DS-ADAPT.

The previous series featured three model in the shape of the X, Max and LS, but there has been no confirmation of the versions that will replace them.

The OPTM drivers series features the X, LS, Max and Max-D and it is expected that at least two of those designs will be included in the fairway woods when officially released.

Cobra OPTM Fairways Specs & Design

The OPTM fairway woods are rumoured to be featuring just two models but the 2026 launch has yet to be added to the USGA Conforming List.

The new OPTM woods are said to be undergoing tour validation tests but are not officially launched or released with pre-launch images.

Cobra’s new fairways design is expected to mirror the OPTM driver lineup with the focus being on having a more player-focused low-spin head and a more forgiving option.

The OPTM range includes a carbon crown design with multi-port sole weighting to suit the swing requirements of all types of golfers.

Those weight ports are expected to follow the same design as the drivers with a front weight behind the face labelled “accuracy” and one in the rear of the head labelled “forgiveness”.

The FutureFit33 hosel that debuted in the DS-ADAPT range is expected to be retained to provide up to 33 different adjustability options in the woods.

Cobra OPTM Woods Review: Are they any good?

Little has been revealed about the OPTM woods with Cobra yet to add any models to the USGA Conforming List, other the drivers in the series.

There are expected to be two models in the fairways – most likely a forgiving X model and a low-spinning LS model – when they do hit the market.

We look forward to getting our hands on the new designs and seeing just how Cobra have managed to improve the performance, forgiveness, distance and accuracy of the DS-ADAPT.
