Matt Wallace What's In The Bag

Matt Wallace claimed his first win of the year when lifting the title at the Omega European Masters in September 2024. A look at Matt Wallace: What’s In The Bag.

The Englishman started the final round of the Omega European Masters with a four-shot lead, but needed a play-off to be crowned champion.

Wallace finished on 11-under par along with Alfredo Garcia-Heredia before a birdie at the first extra hole sealed victory at Crans-sur-Sierre in Switzerland.

In March 2023, Wallace has ended a five year wait for victory when landing the title at the Corales Puntacana Championship on the PGA Tour.

That was Wallace’s first PGA Tour success and he now has 12 professional wins including five DP World Tour victories following success in Switzerland.

He won six times on the Alps Tour in 2016 having taken the titles at the Dreamland Pyramids Open, Tunisian Golf Open, Gösser Open, Vigevano Open, Open Frassanelle and Alps Tour Grand Final.

Wallace graduated to the Challenge Tour and DP World Tour and won the combined 2017 Open de Portugal as well as a trio of titles in 2018 at the Hero Indian Open, BMW International Open and Made in Denmark.
