Meja Ortengren shot to prominence when winning the Hills Open as an amateur in August 2025. A look at Meja Ortengren: What’s In The Bag.
At just 20, Ortengren defied her years and amateur status to win the 2025 Hills Open in her homeland in Sweden.
Ortengren finished on six-under par in the Ladies European Tour event, two shots clear of fellow Swede Lisa Pettersson and Germany’s Leonie Harm at Hills Golf & Sports Club in Gothenburg.
As an amateur, Ortengren forfeited her payout in the Hills Open. In winning, she also became the second amateur champion on the LET in 2025 following victory for Lottie Woad prior to her turning professional.
Ortengren currently studies at Stanford University in California and represents the team in elite college golf.
She is ranked 8th in the World Amateur Golf Rankings and was previously part of the victorious European Junior Solheim Cup team in 2024.
