Newton Golf Gravity Putters (5 High-MOI Models Reviewed)

Newton Golf Gravity Putters

Newton Golf Gravity putters are a range of five premium high MOI designs delivering precise tempo, forgiveness and advanced ULBP balance.

Extremely forgiving, the Gravity series of putters are designed around the companyโ€™s patented Ultra Low Balance Point (ULBP) with a center of gravity as low and close to the ball as possible.

By shifting the balance almost entirely to the putter head, the putters achieve a smoother, accelerating stroke with minimal unwanted spin by trusting gravity to propel the stroke.

Each model has a lightweight carbon fiber shaft and light grip that has allowed the bulk of the putterโ€™s mass to be concentrated in the head for a consistent stroke with bundles of forgiveness from the high-MOI designs.

The five models including the Anser-style Classic, center-shafted Duece blade, mid-mallet flow-neck Duke, fang-style Drac mallet and Prism, which is a classic mallet.

Pros & Cons

โœ… Large sweet spot and high MOI ensure forgiveness
โœ… Premium modern aesthetics with multiple head shapes
โœ… Smooth, rhythmic stroke and enhanced tempo consistency
โœ… Advanced shaft technology for vibration dampening and feedback
โŒ Heavier head feel may require adjustment for those preferring traditional putter balance
โŒ Price point ($450) is at the premium end of the market
โŒ Limited grip/length options may not suit every golfer

Newton Gravity Deuce Putter

The Newton Gravity Deuce putter is a modern reinvention of a wide-body, Anser-style blade, featuring a unique center-shaft hosel that blends familiar blade lines with the forgiveness of a mid-mallet.

Crafted from carbon steel and finished in a black ceramic coating with red paint details, the Deuce has a premium and contemporary appeal.

The key feature is Newtonโ€™s Ultra-Low Balance Point (ULBP) technology, utilizing a lightweight carbon fiber shaft and grip to place almost all the clubโ€™s balance point in the head.

The ULBP design promotes stability and a naturally rhythmic putting stroke that many traditional putters cannot match, including the zero torque range that are on trend.

The Gravity Deuceโ€™s face-balanced design and high MOI make distance control and consistency easier to achieve, while strikes from the sweet spot are muted and soft for exception feel.

Newton Gravity Duke Putter

The Gravity Duke is Newtonโ€™s answer to the modern mid-mallet, built in collaboration with PGA Tour Champions player Ken Duke.

With a matte black head accented by red details and a D-shaped profile that’s slightly wider at the toe, the Duke stands out for visual confidence at address.

Like the rest of the family, the Duke features Newtonโ€™s Ultra Low Balance Point via a proprietary 40-gram carbon shaft with an extremely light feel in the hands but a distinct, heavy sensation in the putter head.

A flow neck design creates a modest offset and the sharp topline aids effortless alignment, while the Dukeโ€™s deliberate head weighting and high MOI minimize twisting on off-center hits and make it forgiving.

Newton Gravity Drac Putter

Newton Golf Drac Putter

The Gravity Drac putter combines the most recognizable elements of the high-MOI โ€œfangโ€ mallet models from other brands with Newtonโ€™s distinctive approach to weighting and feel.

The Drac has a 6061 aluminum head that is precision-milled, with a sleek black finish and striking crimson fangs – and also boasts a signature red sight dot behind the ball for distraction-free alignment.

The Drac’s Ultra Low Balance Point benefits from a carbon-based Tempo shaft and lightweight grip, which combine to produce a โ€œpendulumโ€ effect from a putter that feels hefty in the head yet almost weightless during the stroke.

The putter incorporates 100 grams of tungsten in the heel and toe and has the highest MOI of any of the Newton putters, delivering exceptional stability and forgiveness on mishits.

Newton Gravity Classic Putter

The Gravity Classic carries the legendary Anser blade profile, but provides the popular putter shape with Newtonโ€™s pioneering Gravity technology.

Retaining the sharp, clean lines golfers expect from a blade, the Classic puts the emphasis on elegant simplicity with a design that more than lives up to the model name.

The real advancement comes via the ULBP technology with the carbon fiber Tempo shaft and feather-light grip shifting virtually all mass into the clubhead.

As a result it is a blade that is remarkably stable and easy to swing, but has the benefits of modern mallets by reducing wrist action and making it much easier to repeat a consistent, arcing stroke on the greens.

The sweet spot is wider than many other blades thanks to optimized center of gravity placement, improving forgiveness from the precision-milled carbon steel putter.

Newton Gravity Prism Putter

The Prism putter is a modern mallet and is the go-to option in the series for maximum stability, forgiveness and straightforward alignment.

The Prism is precision-milled from 6061 aluminum and has a eye-catching symmetrical shape and with deep wings that help redistribute weight to the perimeter for a higher moment of inertia (MOI).

The design means the Prism should resist twisting on off-center strikes exceptionally well, delivering confidence and consistency for golfers prone to mishits or struggling with pace control.

Equipped with Newtonโ€™s distinctive Ultra Low Balance Point technology, the Prism deploys a lightweight carbon shaft and minimal grip with nearly all the clubโ€™s effective mass into the head.

Newton Golf Gravity Putters Review: Are they any good?

The Newton Gravity putters series is a standout, blending innovative technology with traditional shapes in one of the most forgiving sets we’ve tested.

The key is the Ultra Low Balance Point technology which combines a lightweight carbon shaft and grip with a heavier, forward-weighted head.

The unique design setup encourages a natural, pendulum-like stroke, improved tempo and minimizing wrist breakdown and it certainly delivers on that.

While the putters do come at a premium price, the improved tempo produces much more confidence on the greens and they are real alternative option to the big name manufacturers in the space.
