Rikuya Hoshino What's In The Bag

Rikuya Hoshino landed his first DP World Tour victory when lifting the title at the Qatar Masters in February 2024. A look at Rikuya Hoshino: What’s In The Bag.

The Japanese star was making just his 12 start on the DP World Tour and went one place better than the Australian Open where he lost in a play-off with Joaquin Niemann.

In the Qatar Masters, Hoshino’s 14-under par total was enough for a one-shot victory over Ugo Coussaud.

Hoshino’s first professional win came in on the Japan Challenge Tour when triumphing in the 2017 Novil Cup.

He is also a six-time Japan Golf Tour winner having been victorious in the 2018 and 2020 Fujisankei Classic, 2019 Dunlop Srixon Fukushima Open, 2021 Kansai Open Golf Championship, 2021 Asia-Pacific Diamond Cup Golf and 2022 Heiwa PGM Championship.

The latest victory moved Hoshino up from 107th to 75th in the Official World Golf Rankings.
