The Sanderson Farms Championship is the second event of the new PGA Tour season and takes place at the Country Club of Jackson in Mississippi.

The tournament dates back to 1968 and has been part of the PGA Tour since 1994 when elevated onto the calendar.

The Sanderson Farms Championship was previously known as the Magnolia Classic, Deposit Guaranty Golf Classic, Southern Farm Bureau Classic, Viking Classic and True South Classic.

Sam Burns is the defending champion having won the title in 2021.

Sanderson Farms Championship Format & Schedule

The Sanderson Farms Championship will be played over four rounds / 72 holes over the Country Club of Jackson.

A field of 152 players will start the European Tour event with the leading 65 players and ties making the cut and playing the third and fourth rounds over the weekend.

• Day 3 – Saturday, October 1
• Day 4 – Sunday, October 2

The tournament carries a prize fund of $7,900,000 USD.
