Korda recorded her eighth career win in the Pelican Women’s Championship when defending her title in November 2022.

It was a second win of the year for the American, who also won her maiden Aramco Team Series event when victorious in Sotogrande in August 2022.

At the Pelican Women’s Championship at Pelican Golf Club in Tampa, Florida, finished on 14-under to record a one-shot victory over Lexi Thompson.

The victory moved Korda up to world number one once again in the Rolex Standings, although she has since lost that place.

Korda’s LPGA wins include a major victory in 2021 Women’s PGA Championship.

Her first came in the 2018 Swinging Skirts LPGA Taiwan Championship and was followed by a successful defence in 2019.
