The Tour Series putters and Tour X putter now has a new relation following the debut of the Spider ZT, a zero-torque putter that comes in three versions – standard, counterbalance and long lengths.
The model has been used on tour by players including Jason Day and Brian Harman ahead of an official launch which came in May 2025.
Like all new Zero Torque putters, it is designed to eliminate unwanted twisting at address and during the stroke with a unique shaft placement for maximum stability.
TaylorMade Spider ZT Putter Design & Features
The Spider ZT is a zero-torque putter introduced in 2025 and adds significant innovation into the Spider putter lineup.
With a boom in popularity for zero torque putters, it is designed specifically to resist twisting throughout the stroke – regardless of the player’s stroke style – and provide enhanced stability and consistency.
The “ZT” in the name stands for zero torque, meaning the putter is engineered to have inherent resistance to twisting during the stroke.

This is achieved by the shaft being positioned so that the putter rotates around its center of mass, creating the highest moment of inertia (MOI) and maximum stability ever in a TaylorMade putter.
The “5K” on the sole refers to a very high MOI rating, around 5000, which also indicates exceptional resistance to twisting and off-center hits.
The shaft is positioned in the center of the putter head at the center and also helps maintain the zero-torque effect and promote a stable, consistent stroke.
It has been released in three length options of standard, counterbalance and long lengths to suit differing needs of golfers.

Like all Spider putters, it features a milled face section combined with TaylorMade’s Pure Roll insert, made from a blend of Surlyn and aluminium.
The face has 45 degree grooves to enhance forward roll, feel and sound and the milling also contributes to the premium feel and precise roll characteristics.
The sole has a distinctive blue plate and includes three sole weights to optimize stability and balance.
TaylorMade Spider ZT Putter Review: Is it any good?
Brian Harman, Jason Day, Hae Ran Ryu and other tour players like Angel Ayora have been using the putter and the early signs were good.
Harman won with it at the Valero Texas Open and Ryu won in the Black Desert Championship, and it wasn’t too long before the rest of us could get our hands on this model when it was launched in May 2025.
As far as high-MOI mallet putters go, it looks the business and the zero-torque technology benefits are set to make this one of the most popular Spider models yet.
The clubhead offers confidence and the different options in setup make this a suitable option for golfers who struggle to control the putter head and with pulls or pushes on the greens.
