Titleist 620 CB Irons Review

Titleist 620 CB Irons

Titleist 620 CB irons have been launched as the leading manufacturer’s premium cavity back irons

The 620 CBs are one of three new designs being released in 2019 along with the muscleback version – the Titleist 620 MB irons – and the Titleist T100 irons.

All three made their first appearance on course at Pebble Beach for the US Open as brand ambassadors Justin Thomas, Adam Scott and Rafael Cabrera Bello were among the played to begin a validation period for the irons.

“Validating product performance on Tour is a critical step in the development of all Titleist golf clubs,” Titleist said having also done the same with the TS2 and TS3 drivers.

“Based on early player feedback, the new lineup is poised to continue our run as the iron brand of choice on the PGA Tour.

“Based on initial tour player testing and feedback, the new lineup is poised to continue Titleist’s run as the most played iron on the PGA TOUR for each of the last five years and 14 of the last 15 seasons.”

The 620 range includes an impressive cavity back (CB) and an attractive muscleback (MB) option.

While the 620 MB is for elite players, the Titleist 620 CB is a much more forgiving iron which will appeal to golfers of all abilities.

Titleist have given little away in terms of the design features, but images of the 620 CB show it to have a compact blade which is short in length. A thin topline and narrow sole gives it an impressive look and feel.

The design of the cavity in the 620 CBs is very similar to the Titleist 718 CB, which it is set to replace. That could mean the ability to insert tungsten weights in the cavity.

Titleist 620 CB Irons Verdict

The 620 CB irons will be the most popular of the three new additions from Titleist.

They are an improvement on the Titleist 718 CB irons, come with the same design to insert weights into the cavity, and the look has been enhanced further.

Very forgiving, the 620 CB irons look set to fly off the shelves.
