Titleist T200 Irons Review

Titleist T Series Irons

Titleist T200 irons look set to become the leading manufacturer’s premium range after being officially launched.

Part of the T-Series of irons, the T200 will join the T100 irons and the T300 irons as a trio of options to be introduced later in 2019 once a validation process is completed by Titleist’s PGA Tour stars.

While the T100 debuted at the US Open at Pebble Beach along with the new 620 CB irons and 620 MB irons, the T200 and T300 officially break cover at the Travelers Championship at TPC River Highlands.

“Validating product performance across the worldwide professional tours is a critical step in the development of all high performance Titleist golf equipment,” Titleist said.

“Based on initial tour player testing and feedback, the new lineup is poised to continue Titleist’s run as the most played iron on the PGA TOUR for each of the last five years and 14 of the last 15 seasons.”

Titleist T200 Irons Design

The Titleist T200 irons look set to replace the AP range, which was previously the major seller.

From the images released online by Titleist, the T200 irons feature a screw weight in the cavity.

That screw carries the wording “max impact”, but what that actually translates to in a technology sense remains to be seen.

Golfers will be keen to discover more when Titleist reveal the finer details.

T200 Irons Verdict

The obvious thing to say about the Titleist T200 irons is that are seriously attractive.

Titleist are giving little away ahead of the validation process, but they look an improvement on the design of the AP range.

The “Max Impact” screw looks an interesting addition and the impact that it will have will be something that we are eagerly awaiting to discover.
