Rising star Tom McKibbin has officially signed with LIV Golf, joining Jon Rahm’s Legion XIII team for the upcoming 2025 season.
The 22-year-old from Northern Ireland has been linked with a move for a number of weeks and Legion XIII captain Jon Rahm confirmed the appointment of the final member of his 2025 LIV Golf team.
Rahm confirmed McKibbin’s signing on social media, stating: “Tom McKibbin, welcome to the team, let’s go,” when announcing the deal to bring him from the DP World Tour.
McKibbin joins Rahm, Tyrrell Hatton and Caleb Surratt in the Legion XIII line-up for 2025 with his deal reportedly worth up to $5 million.
McKibbin will make his debut when the LIV Golf League begins the 2025 season in Riyadh in Saudi Arabia in February.
He will also take part in some of the new concepts that YouTuber Rick Shiels will bring to LIV Golf following his deal with the tour.
The Northern Irishman leaves the DP World Tour, where he was winner of the 2023 Porsche European Open, and sacrifices the 2025 PGA Tour card he earned via the money list in 2024.

“I love Irish people,” Rahm said. “Me and the Northern Irish, right? I think he’s going to be a really good fit.
“Tom is used to traveling the world, which I think is a big key. One of the reasons why maybe Caleb had not a good year last year compared to his standards was the fact that he had to travel so much, and he wasn’t used to it.
“Tom is definitely used to it. The DP World Tour, they definitely are able to travel a lot. So, having a young incredible talent with a bright future that’s used to the travel is something very, very special.”
Rahm added: “On paper, we could be even stronger this year than we were last year. And I think coming into the Team Championship, we’re definitely going to be stronger than we were last year.”
