The 2022 event, which is one of five major championships in women’s golf, is being played at Pine Needles Lodge & Golf Club in Southern Pines, North Carolina.

The US Women’s Open is the oldest of the five majors having first been played in 1946 and officially recognised by the LPGA in 1950.

Yuka Saso is the reigning champion after winning the US Women’s Open in 2021 at Olympic Club, Lake Course in San Francisco.
