Viktor Hovland Ping Deal Reaction
In the social media announcement, Hovland said: “The last couple of years with the help of the guys from Ping, they’re out of the tour events every week (and) they’ve got to show me how much the equipment matters.
“For example with the driver I have a little fade bias, so my golf swing is going to produce a little fade.
“But I would come to those guys and say ‘are there things we can do to straighten out the ball flight a little bit?’.
“The things you can do without changing your golf swing are incredible. It’s almost like another club to have in your bag.”
Ping Viktor Hovland Reaction
“When we signed him right out of college, we knew he was a special player,” John K. Solheim, president, Ping Golf, said.
“The connection to Norway and our relationship with Oklahoma State over the years made it a no-brainer for us to add him to the Ping team.
“He’s quickly proven himself to be one of the best players in the world in less than three years as a professional. We’re very excited to extend our relationship with Viktor.”
