Clark had been unable to break his duck since joining the PGA Tour in 2018, but finally landed a first victory in the Wells Fargo Championship at Quail Hollow.
A final round of three-under par allowed Clark to extend his overnight lead to finish on 19-under par, four shots clear of Xander Schauffele.
It was also Clark’s first win as professional having earned his PGA Tour card by finishing 16th on the then Web.com money list without winning.
Clark’s best PGA Tour performance was when runner-up in the Bermuda Championship in 2020 after losing a play-off to Brian Gay.
Clark has moved up to 31st in the Official World Golf Rankings from 80th.
