Xander Schauffele has signed an apparel deal with Descente and will promote the Japanese clothing brand on the course in 2024.

Schauffele has ended his clothing deal with Adidas and will wear apparel from Descente from 2024 onwards as part a multi-year agreement.

Schauffele, the world number six in the Official World Golf Rankings, will wear golf clothing, training wear, and accessories under the Descente brand.

As part of the deal, Schauffele will collaborate with Descente on golf product development and help enhance the Descente brand and strengthen it’s golf popularity in Japan, Korea and China.

Descente will seek his advice in new product development and will also support him with all its high-quality resources resulting from ongoing collaboration with leading athletes and teams.

Schauffele is a seven-time PGA Tour winner and also won the Olympic Gold medal at the 2020 Tokyo games.

What is Descente Golf?

Descente has been around for 90 years having been first formed in Osaka in 1935.

The lifestyle and clothing company was initially a skiing brand but has since moved into rowing, cycling, motor racing, baseball, triathlon and golf.

Descente Japan Ltd now has 16 brands under one umbrella including Descente, Shiseist, Arena, Marmot and Srixon.
