The young South Africa stunned the field in Barcelona to win the 2026 Catalunya Championship by a non-major record of 14 shots.
Premlall enjoyed a birdie-fest during an 18-under par weekend to finish on 28-under at Real Club de Golf El Prat, a staggering 14 shots clear of compatriot Shaun Norris.
It’s not Premlall’s first history-making performance having become the youngest qualifier for the South African Open when just 15.
He made the cut to create history again as the youngest to do so, and went on to win on the Big Easy Tour as an amateur at the same age.
Premlall’s only previous professional win came on the Sunshine Tour in 2024 when winning the Vodacom Origins of Golf.
