Yang took the title at the season-ending LPGA Tour seven when finishing three shots clear of Nasa Hataoka and Alison Lee in the CME Group Tour Championship.

South Korean Yang ended on 27-under at Tiburon Golf Club in Florida to bring up her ninth victory as a professional.

Yang’s other four LPGA victories all came in Asia courtesy of wins in the 2013 LPGA KEB-HanaBank Championship and the 2015, 2017 and 2019 Honda LPGA Thailand.

She is also a three-time Ladies European Tour winner having won the 2006 ANZ Ladies Masters as an amateur and the Ladies German Open and Scandinavian TPC hosted by Annika in 2008.

Yang also won the 2011 KB Star Championship on the Korean LPGA Tour.

Prior to the win in the Tour Championship, Lee was ranked 36th in the Women’s World Rankings.
