The tournament is part of the 2023 LPGA Tour season and is being played at Seowon Valley Country Club in Seowun Hills, South Korea.

The BMW Ladies Championship was first held in 2019 at LPGA International in Busan and at the same venue in 2021.

Lydia Ko won in 2022 when the event moved to the Oak Valley Country Club in Wonju.

Formed original as a LPGA Tour of Korea event, Yoon-ji Cho won in 2015 before Jin Young Ko took the title in 2016 and 2017.

Hana Jang won in 2019 as the event was upgraded to LPGA Tour status and Jin Young Ko took the title in 2021.

The BMW Ladies Championship will be played over four rounds / 72 holes at Seowon Valley Country Club in Seowun Hills, South Korea. There is no cut.

The tournament carries a total prize fund of $2,200,000 USD.
