In 2022, the Women’s Irish Open returned to be part of the Ladies European Tour season for the first time since 2012. It remains on the calendar in 2023.

The Irish Open was part of the LET calendar between 1994-2003 and again from 2008-2012 in preparation for Killeen Castle holding the 2011 Solheim Cup.

The KPMG Women’s Irish Open takes place at Dromoland Castle in Newmarket-on-Fergus, Republic of Ireland.

The tournament has previously been staged at St Margaret’s, Citywest and Luttrellstown Castle in Dublin, Ballyliffin and Letterkenny in Donegal, Faithlegg in Waterford, Killarney in Kerry, Portmarnock Links in Fingal and Killeen Castle in Meath.

Klara Spilkova is the defending champion after winning the title in 2022.

Former winners of the Women’s Irish Open include Laura Davies, Alison Nicholas, Sophie Gustafson, Suzann Pettersen and Catriona Matthew.

The KPMG Women’s Irish Open will be played over four rounds / 72 holes at Dromoland Castle in Newmarket-on-Fergus, Republic of Ireland. There is a cut after 36 holes.

The tournament carries a total prize fund of €400,000.
