The tournament is part of the 2023 LPGA Tour season, and is being played at Palos Verdes Golf Club in Los Angeles for the first time.

The Los Angeles Open was first held in 2018 at Wiltshire Country Club, but moves host venue for 2023.

Nasa Hataoka is the reigning champion after winning the tournament in 2022 when claiming a five-shot victory.

Other former winners include Moriya Jutanugarn, Minjee Lee and Brooke Henderson.
