Lawrence’s final round of three-under par at Golfclub München Eichenried was enough to seal a dramatic one-shot victory over Joost Luiten.
The South African ended on 13-under par for the week and took the BMW International Open title as main rival Joost Luiten faltered down the stretch.
It was Lawrence’s second win after the season after winning the South African Open in Johannesburg with a one-shot victory over Clement Sordet in December 2022.
Lawrence also won the Joburg Open in November 2021 and then followed it with victory at the Omega European Masters in August 2022 after a play-off success over Matt Wallace.
Prior to his DP World Tour wins, Lawrence won the 2015 Ras Al Khaimah Classic on the MENA Tour, the 2018 Big Easy Challenge 15 on the Big Easy Tour and the 2019 Vodacom Origins of Golf at Stellenbosch in 2019 on the Sunshine Tour.
Prior to his BMW International win, Lawrence was ranked 104th in the Official World Golf Rankings. He is now up to 85th in the world.
