The European Open is the latest event of the 2023 DP World Tour season as it heads to Germany for the Porsche-sponsored European Open.

The tournament is played the Nord Course at Green Eagle Golf Courses in Winsen, Germany, with the venue staging the event for the seventh time.

The European Open was first held in 1978 and has been staged in the United Kingdom and Ireland before moving to Germany in 2015.

The tournament has been staged at Walton Heath, Turnberry, Royal Liverpool, Sunningdale, East Sussex National, The K Club, London Golf Club, Bad Griesbach and Green Eagle.

Kalle Samooja is the defending champion after winning the tournament in 2022.

Former winners include Sandy Lyle, Tom Kite, Bernhard Langer, Greg Norman, Ian Woosnam, Nick Faldo, Per-Ulrik Johansson, Lee Westwood, Darren Clarke, Retief Goosen, Colin Montgomerie and Paul Casey.
