The 2023 Open Championship takes place at Royal Liverpool, which is also known as Hoylake, and will be the 12th time the venue has staged the tournament.

The last time the Open visited Hoylake was in 2014 when Rory McIlroy was crowned champion. Tiger Woods also recorded victory at the venue.

The 2023 edition also represents the 151st Open as another chapter of the famous major is played out.

Cameron Smith is the reigning champion after winning the 2022 Open Championship at St Andrews.

The Open Championship will be played over four rounds / 72 holes at Royal Liverpool with a cut after the opening two rounds.
