The Dubai Desert Classic golf is the second event of the 2024 DP World Tour calendar and following the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship.

It is staged on the Majlis Course at Emirates Golf Club in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

The Dubai Desert Classic was first held in 1989 and has been hosted at the Emirates Golf Club with the exception of 1999 and 2000 when it moved to Dubai Creek.

Rory McIlroy is the defending champion after victory in the Dubai Desert Classic in 2023. It was his third success having won in 2009 and 2015.

The Dubai Desert Classic will be played over four rounds / 72 holes at the Emirates Golf Club in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.

The tournament carries a prize fund of $9,000,000.
