The Women’s Irish Open returned to be part of the Ladies European Tour season in 2022 for the first time since 2012. It has remained on the calendar since and moves to a new home for 2024.
The Irish Open was part of the LET calendar between 1994-2003 and again from 2008-2012 in preparation for Killeen Castle holding the 2011 Solheim Cup.
For 2024, the KPMG Women’s Irish Open takes place at The O’Meara Course at Carton House in Maynooth, Co. Kildare, Republic of Ireland.
The tournament has previously been staged at St Margaret’s, Citywest and Luttrellstown Castle in Dublin, Ballyliffin and Letterkenny in Donegal, Faithlegg in Waterford, Killarney in Kerry, Portmarnock Links in Fingal, Killeen Castle in Meath and Dromoland Castle in Newmarket-on-Fergus.
Smilla Sonderby is the defending champion after winning the title in 2023.
Former winners of the Women’s Irish Open include Laura Davies, Alison Nicholas, Sophie Gustafson, Suzann Pettersen, Catriona Matthew and Klara Spilkova.

The tournament carries a total prize fund of €400,000.
