The 2025 LIV Golf Team Championship features a total prize money fund of $50 million for the concluding event of the season in Michigan.
LIV Golf heads to Michigan for this year’s finale as the 13 teams battle it out to be 2024 season champions at The Cardinal at Saint John’s.
The tournament carries the largest prize pool of the season with $50 million up for grabs in the matchplay team event from August 20-24.
Having competed for team points throughout the previous 13 events, the teams now battle it out for glory with a change of format for 2025.
A play-in match will used to decider whether the 12th or 13th places teams (Majesticks and Iron Heads) make the quarter-finals.
Those quarter-finals take place on Friday and feature six matches with the top six in the standings getting to choose their opponents.
The winning six teams then play in Saturday’s semi-finals and the three winners of those ties will contest the final on Sunday. Over the second and third days, the knocked out teams also play positional deciders.
The Play-In match, quarter-finals and semi-finals all feature two singles matches and one alternate-shot foursomes match.
The three winning semi-finalists play in the Championship Bracket for the title on Sunday, while the rest compete for final rankings.
That means all 48 players from the 12 teams compete in a final stroke play round with each team’s score comprises the sum of all four players’ scores.

2024 LIV Golf Team Championship Prize Money
The tournament carries a prize fund of $50,000,000 with 60% going into the team’s operating budget and the other 40% split equally by the four players on the team.
