Australian Herbert won twice on the DP World Tour and once on the PGA Tour previously and added the ISPS Handa Championship in Japan to his CV.

Herbert finished on 15-under par at Ishioka Golf Club and got the better of Aaron Cockerill on the second extra hole of a play-off in Japan.

Herbert first emerged as an amateur when losing a play-off in the 2013 Lexus of Blackburn Heritage Classic on the PGA Tour of Australasia.

His first DP World Tour victory came in the 2020 Omega Dubai Desert Classic and he then took his biggest prize in the 2021 Dubai Duty Free Irish Open.

A first PGA Tour victory followed later in 2021 when Herbert was victorious in the Butterfield Bermuda Championship.

Prior to his win in Japan, Herbert was ranked 59th in the Official World Golf Rankings. He jumped up to 42nd in the world afterwards.
