The event was a new addition to the 2024 PGA Tour calendar, taking place on the same weekend as the Wells Fargo Championship which a limited-field signature event.
After the inaugural edition on 2024, which was won by Chris Gotterup, the Myrtle Beach Classic continues in the same slot as an alternative event to the now-named Truist Championship on the 2025 PGA Tour schedule.
The tournament takes place at Dunes Golf and Beach Club in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

The Myrtle Beach Classic will be played over four rounds / 72 holes at Dunes Golf and Beach Club with a cut after the opening two rounds.

- Day 2 – Friday, May 9
- Day 3 – Saturday, May 10
- Day 4 – Sunday, May 11
The Myrtle Beach Classic tournament carries a total prize fund of $4,000,000.
