The 2025 Truist Championship takes place from May 8-11 at Philadelphia Cricket Club. Watch a 2025 Truist Championship live stream of all the action from the PGA Tour event.
The event has been a part PGA Tour since first debuting in 2003 as the Wachovia Championship, and has a new name for 2025.
The tournament becomes the Truist Championship as the headline sponsor replaces Wells Fargo, and also has a temporary home for the 2025 PGA Tour season.
With regular host venue Quail Hollow staging the 2025 USPGA Championship a week later, the 2025 edition is being held at Philadelphia Cricket Club’s Wissahickon Course in Pennsylvania.
In 2022, the tournament was also staged away from Quail Hollow when it took place at TPC Potomac at Avanel Farm. That was to allow Quail Hollow time to prepare for hosting the 2022 Presidents Cup.
Rory McIlroy is the defending champion after winning the title for the fourth time in 2024. He is once again among the leading betting favourites for the Truist Championship.
Other former winners of the event include inaugural champion David Toms, Vijay Singh, Tiger Woods, Jim Furyk, Lucas Glover, Rickie Fowler, JB Holmes, Brian Harman, Jason Day, Max Homa and Wyndham Clark.

Truist Championship Golf Format & Schedule
The Wells Fargo Championship will be played over four rounds / 72 holes at Quail Hollow. As a signature event with a 72-man field, there is a no cut after the first two rounds.

The Truist Championship tournament carries a total prize fund of $20,000,000 USD.
