The event is played on the Harbour Tour Golf Links in South Carolina, and is the first event of 2025 PGA Tour season since The Masters.
The RBC Heritage was first held in 1969 when known as the Heritage Golf Classic. It has also been known as the Sea Pines Heritage Classic, MCI Heritage Golf Classic, Worldcom Classic and Verizon Heritage.
Scottie Scheffler is the reigning champion after winning the RBC Heritage in 2024, a week after he had won The Masters. He is once again among the leading RBC Heritage contenders.

RBC Heritage will be played over four rounds / 72 holes at Harbour Town Golf Links with no cut and all 72 players making the weekend.
- Day 1 – Thursday, April 17
- Day 2 – Friday, April 18
- Day 3 – Saturday, April 19
- Day 4 – Sunday, April 20
The RBC Heritage tournament carries a total prize fund of $20,000,000.
