The 2025 Walmart NW Arkansas Championship featured a total prize money fund of $3 million – but just $2 million was paid out after the LPGA event was cancelled after 18 holes.
The Walmart NW Arkansas Championship joined the LPGA Tour in 2007 and has remained a firm part of the calendar ever since.
A top class field competed for a share of $3 million prize fund at Pinnacle Golf Club in Arkansas from September 19-21 in the 2025 LPGA event.
But heavy rain forced the cancellation of the 54-hole event with no play possible over the weekend and no winner declared.
In such circumstances, the normal prize money was due to be 50% of the overall purse. But sponsors Walmart and the LPGA agreed it would be $2 million paid to all players and not just thought in the top 65 traditional cut line.
A total of $1.5 million, which is 50 percent of the original purse, was awarded to the top 65 based on their positions after the 18 holes completed.
An additional $500,000 was then distributed between all 144 players, ensuring everyone in the field got an equal $3,500.
