It has been another memorable year for Scheffler, who has won the Masters, Arnold Palmer Invitational, The Players Championship, RCB Heritage, the Memorial Tournament and now Travelers Championship in 2024.
His latest win came courtesy of a play-off victory over Tom Kim to extend his dominance as the world number one in the Official World Golf Rankings.
It has been another stunning year for Scheffler, who dominated the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill for a five-shot victory over Wyndham Clark to win his second win in the API in March.
A week later Scheffler created history as the first golfer to go back-to-back in The Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass as he sealed a one-shot victory following a closing round of 64.
Scheffler won his first green jacket in 2022 and added to it in 2024 Masters when finishing on 11-under par around Augusta, four clear of nearest rival Ludvig Aberg.
Despite the euphoria of his Masters victory, Scheffler came out seven days on and won the RCB Heritage by three shots from Sahith Theegala following a Monday finish at Harbour Town.
The Memorial Tournament was next as Scheffler held off Collin Morikawa by one-shot for victory in the Jack Nicklaus-backed event.
His play-off win over Kim in the Travelers was Scheffler’s 15th professional win and his 12th on the PGA Tour, all of which came in the space of 28 months.
Scheffler won four times in three months in 2022 – all in the space of six starts including victory at The Masters. He was also named 2022 PGA Tour Player of the Year.
Scheffler had been the nearly man in the early part of his career, but finally shed his maiden tag at the 71st attempt when winning a play-off with Patrick Cantlay to win the 2022 Phoenix Open in February.
Three weeks after the Phoenix Open, Scheffler was a double PGA Tour winner as he came from behind to win the Arnold Palmer Invitational by one shot from Viktor Hovland, Billy Horschel and Tyrrell Hatton at Bay Hill.
The American then won the WGC Match Play when he got the better of Kevin Kisner 4&3 in the final. He had finished runner-up in the event 12 months earlier.
Scheffler dominated the 2022 Masters at Augusta to win the green jacket by three shots from Rory McIlroy, even affording a double bogey at the last.
Scheffler won three times in 2023, his first in February when he successfully defended of his Phoenix Open title at TPC Scottsdale before landing the Players Championship title at TPC Sawgrass in March.
The American then ended the year on a high with victory in the 2023 Hero World Challenge.
Scheffler won twice on the Korn Ferry Tour in 2019 before graduating to the PGA Tour. He was also part of the United States’ winning team in the 2021 Ryder Cup and 2022 Presidents Cup, and the losing side in the 2023 Ryder Cup.
In 2024, Scheffler signed an extension to his equipment deal with TaylorMade.
