One of amateur golf’s biggest team events, the Walker Cup is a premier international match-play competition pitting a 10-player Great Britain & Ireland team against USA every two years.
The 51st edition is being staged at the Old Course at Lahinch Golf Club in County Clare, Ireland, with the famous links hosting the Walker Cup for the first time.
Dean Robertson captains GB&I, while Nathan Smith leads the defending champion United States team.
The USA have won the past five Walker Cups and arrive at Lahinch as firm betting odds favourites to extend that winning run.
Great Britain & Ireland are seeking their first Walker Cup victory since 2015 and will have home support behind them on the Irish coast.

2026 Walker Cup Teams
The Great Britain & Ireland Walker Cup team includes reigning Amateur champion Stuart Grehan and U.S. Amateur champion Jack Whaley, alongside experienced Walker Cup players such as Connor Graham, Eliot Baker, Luke Poulter, Niall Sheils Donegan and Tyler Weaver.
The USA team is led by world No. 1 amateur Preston Stout and includes Tyler Watts, Ethan Fang, Miles Russell, Kihei Akina, Ryder Cowan, Josiah Gilbert, William Jennings, Jay Leng Jr. and experienced mid-amateur Stewart Hagestad.
