The event was first held in 1952 and has been a regular on the PGA Tour calendar ever since Ted Kroll won the inaugural edition of the tournament.
It is now one of the Signature Events on the PGA Tour, attracting a high class field to TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, Connecticut.
Keegan Bradley is the defending champion having won the event for a second time in 2025, adding to his 2023 success.

The Travelers Championship will be played over four rounds / 72 holes at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, Connecticut, with a cut after the opening two rounds.
