Schenk had not won the PGA Tour in 242 previous starts, but he ended the wait with a one victory over Chandler Phillips in the 2025 Butterfield Bermuda Championship.
The American finished on 12-under par after overcoming severely blustery conditions, including putting one-handed during one round.
Schenk was fighting to save his card but is now assured of PGA Tour status for the next two years following the victory in Bermuda.
Schenk turned professional in 2015 and played on PGA Tour Latinoamerica before stepping up to the Web.com Tour where he won the 2017Lincoln Land Charity Championship.
He earned his PGA Tour card in 2018 and had multiple top-10 finishes prior to finally winning at the 243rd attempt.
