A week after older brother Matt Fitzpatrick won on the PGA Tour in the Valspar Championship, Alex secured his first DP World Tour victory with success in India.
Fitzpatrick carded eight birdies in his final 13 holes to finish on nine-under in the 2026 Hero Indian Open and defeat defending champion Eugenio Chacarra by two shots at DLF Golf & Country Club.
Prior to earning his spot on the DP World Tour, Fitzpatrick claimed his only other professional win in the British Challenge in 2023 on the Challenge Tour.
As an amateur, Fitzpatrick represented Great Britain & Irelands in the Walker Cup in 2019 and 2021 and the International Team in the Arnold Palmer Cup in 2020 and 2021.
