Team games are the key for Novak, after he paired up with Ben Griffin to win the 2025 Zurich Classic of New Orleans for his maiden PGA Tour success in April 2025.

It was Lauren Coughlin who was his partner in the mixed 2025 Grant Thornton Invitational with the pair finishing on 28-under for a three-shot victory over Jennifer Kupcho and Chris Gotterup, Nelly Korda and Denny McCarthy and Charley Hull and Michael Brennan.

Novak had gone agonisingly close in his previous start on the PGA Tour, losing in a play-off to Justin Thomas at the RBC Heritage.

His only previous win as a professional came on the Korn Ferry Tour in 2020 when he won the LECOM Suncoast Classic.
