The Baycurrent Classic 2025 takes place from October 9-12 at the Yokohama Country Club in Japan with some leading PGA Tour stars teeing it up.

The PGA Tour has a new name after Baycurrent Inc. took over the naming rights of the ZOZO Championship and moved it to a new home for 2025 at Yokohama Country Club.

As a 2025 PGA Tour Fall season tournament, the Baycurrent Classic serves as a crucial event for players seeking to secure their cards and earn FedExCup points for the upcoming season.

A limited field of 78 will line up in Japan including prominent players such as Xander Schauffele, Collin Morikawa, Hideki Matsuyama and Rasmus Hojgaard.

The purse is $8 million and there is no cut with all 78 players playing four rounds in Yokohama.

Leading Baycurrent Classic Contenders

Xander Schauffele

Xander Schauffele is the betting favorite despite a down season, but he has shown signs of form late with strong finishes at recent majors.

His proven skill, and recent Ryder Cup experience when he key man for the United States, make him a top pick.

Collin Morikawa

Collin Morikawa is second on the odds board despite a lean run of form and a poor display at the 2025 Ryder Cup.

Known for his precision and consistency, Morikawa remains a strong contender and could shine in the small field.

Hideki Matsuyama

Hideki Matsuyama, a Japanese star and tournament winner in 2021, seeks to use his local knowledge and win in front of home fans.

Matsuyama won the ZOZO Championship title four years ago and heads home looking to add to his victory in the Tournament of Champions at the start of the year.

Rasmus Hojgaard

Rasmus Hojgaard enters the event with good momentum, fresh off a T3 at the Sanderson Farms Championship. That performance came on the back of being part of the winning European Ryder Cup team.
