Four-time major winner Brooks Koepka has signed a deal to become a tour staffer with Srixon and Cleveland.

Koepka, the former world number one, has been a free agent for a number of years – including when winning the US Open in 2017 and 2018 and the USPGA Championship in 2018 and 2019.

The American had included Srixon irons in his bag of mixed clubs that also included a TaylorMade SIM 2 driver, Nike Vapor 3-wood, Mizuno irons and Titleist Vokey wedges.

But he will now play Srixon clubs exclusively as well as Cleveland wedges after agreeing a deal to join the manufacturer’s permanent staff players along with major winners Hideki Matsuyama, Shane Lowry and Graeme McDowell.

“I am very excited to join my good friends Shane Lowry, Graeme McDowell and Hideki Matsuyama as a Srixon and Cleveland Golf Tour staff member,” Koepka said.

“I’ve been an equipment free agent for the past few years, so it will be fun to be involved with a company on a daily basis and be able to contribute to the development of their future equipment.”

Koepka had the Srixon ZX7 irons in his bag when he won the Waste Management Phoenix Open during the 2021 PGA Tour season.

“I put the ZX7 Irons in play in January and it is the best iron I have played on Tour,” Koepka added. “I look forward to kicking off our new partnership this week in Las Vegas.”

Koepka’s first assignment as an official Srixon staff player will be in The Match vs Bryson DeChambeau in Las Vegas.

Rodney McDonald, Vice President of Tour Operations at Srixon, added: “We’re extremely proud to have Brooks come on board as our newest staff member.

“He’s one of the best players in the world and brings his major championship pedigree and validation to our brands.

“We’re excited for Brooks to join the Srixon and Cleveland Golf family and look forward to supporting him out on Tour.”

Koepka will be using a Srixon ZX5 driver, Srixon ZX7 irons, Cleveland RTX ZipCore Tour Rack wedges and a new Srixon Z-Star prototype ball.
