What Callaway says about the Apex Pro ’24 Irons:

“A revolutionary multi-material forged construction paired with our patented urethane microspheres delivers unmatched feel.

“For the first time ever in an Apex iron, a hollow body construction pairs a forged face with a forged 1025 carbon steel body to deliver a premium, ultra-soft feel.

“Our patented urethane microspheres also work to dampen sound and improve feel while still allowing the face to flex for high ball speeds across the face.

The Apex Pro ’24 irons feature a progressive face design to give players powerful long irons and more precise short irons.

“The long irons are designed with a powerful Forged 455 face cup to enhance distance and forgiveness. The short irons feature an ultra-consistent forged 1025 face plate engineered to give you control with your scoring clubs.

“The new Apex Pro ’24 irons feature a Dynamic Sole Design with a pre-worn leading edge to cut through the turf more efficiently and trailing edge relief to ensure a clean exit.

“The result is an iron sole that maintains speed through the turf and promotes consistent contact on all shots.”

Callaway Apex Pro ’24 Irons Specs & Features

The Apex Pro 24 irons have been tweaked rather than given an overhaul with Callaway extracting more performance out of the premium product.

Aimed at better golfers and elite level performers, the forged blades have a progressive design in the latest iteration.

The forged blades are now designed with a forged 455 face cup in the longer irons (3-5 iron) while the previous forged 1025 face plate is retained in the shorter irons (6-iron to A-wedge).

The new progressive design means the hollow-body construction irons offer more distance and forgiveness as well as increased ball speeds across the entire set.

Those high ball speeds have been made possible by the new patented urethane microspheres, which allow for maximum face flex as well as working to dampen sound and improve feel.

Callaway have also made changes to the sole of the club with the new Dynamic Sole Design featuring a more worn shaping to the edge of the irons.

This new feature works to prevent the irons digging into the turf on exit and produce much better turf interaction and ball striking.

The Pro model is available in 3-iron (19 degrees) to A-Wedge (50 degrees).

Verdict: Are Callaway Apex Pro ’24 Irons any good?

Callaway have managed to extract even more benefits out of the one of the most impressive performers on tour.

The new 2024 model of the Pro irons isn’t dramatically different to the previous version, but the interesting change in face design in the longer irons is an interesting move.

Coupled with the new sole design, the Apex Pros are now faster, more forgiving and offer even more consistency with ball striking that elite golfers crave from a blade.
